MidiFlow & Bank Select for iMono/Poly

Has anyone been able to use MidiFlow to map a CC knob to send Program Changes to a different bank than the default one in a synth?

Currently trying to do this with iMono/Poly. I am able to switch between presets in the Factory A bank using a CC knob mapped to Program Changes, but I'm not being able to figure out how to use MidiFlow to send out Bank Select messages in order to use that knob to send out Program Changes and select patches from my User 1 or 2 bank.

Does anyone know how to do this? It would be a huge help.

  • Quick edit: Firstly, there is only one User bank in iMono/Poly, not two.

Secondly, I am actually able to get my Program Change messages to switch between the patches in the Factory B (second) bank by mapping another button I have to send out CC 00 with LSB 32 with a value of 255 (i.e. 127+128). So if I have that button engaged, I can successfully switch between the presets in the second Factory bank.

However, I have experimented and I'm unable to find which values I need to map such a button in order for my knob's PC messages to switch between User patches. Anyone know how I can make this work?

  • Wow... Looks like I just had to keep going. Figured it out. The magic number is... 1407!

I've mapped a CC knob to send CC 00 with CC 32 LSB with a range of 1407 to 1407; I've mapped that same CC knob to also send PC messages... and now it works!

I guess I just needed this space to work it out. :#

How the **** did you find this number? :o

On the same knob that I have sending PC messages, I input the full range for CC00/CC32 and just scrolled through to see if it would activate anything in the user bank. I was delight when I saw it caught one of the patches in there! So now knowing it was possible, I just used the display on my midi controller to see that it was at about ‘10’ where that occurred; so I added 128*10 to 127... 1407!

Great! This adds a better way to have total recall on the Digitakt by sending BankSel MSB and LSB to iMonoPoly.
    Thanks again!
