Oh Animoog!

When I purchased a Linnstrument a couple of months ago I decided to stick to my Mac and the instruments in Logic. My iPad Air 1 can't take much and my iPhone 7's lack of phone jack is not that encouraging. These days I have been playing Animoog with the Linnstrument (and without) and remembered how much I like the sounds that come out of this thing. Actually it was the first synth I bought.

...

Uh, I think I have nothing else to say. I just wanted to share how much I like this app.

  • I love Animoog. Everybody probably knows this, but in Timbres there is VCO Drift... Like analog reborn when mixed with say the Minimoog pack timbres.

Did I say I love Animoog? I bet it's a blast with the Linnstrument.

everybody just plays an app and goes wow! and doesn’t know crap.

  • Animoog and SynthMaster One have Wavetable synthesis.

SM1 can potentially replace Animoog (except for a few features).

  • Animoog is one of the few old synth apps I still pull out all the time.
The Moog apps all seem top notch, Im a bit surprised the analog synth company was able to convert their full sound to digital so successfully.

No, a lot of features. Nothing can replace Animoog. Not even my theremini that uses the Animoog engine!

They make great apps. I find them to be up there with Uhe Diva and The Legend in quality. That's controversial but you need a pretty robust computer to run those and the difference is really only a matter of taste at that point.

One thing Animoog seems to have over their new "The One" synth is easier control and visual representation of the modulation. I really love assigning pressure to unison detune, like fretting a guitar too hard. :D

  • Animoog is amazing.

    And it’s universal.

    lol, no it cannot.

  • ANIMOOG

    Lowest CPU and GIG
    Biggest Power and Sound

ONLY APP I USE EVERY EVERY EVERY SESSION.

I am actually bummed, that iOS 12, made the Animoog iPhone version less "useable" on the iPad.

I used to enjoy 2 instances of Animoog that way, but it is like a tiny little baby screen with bad resolution now.

    Oh well.

    ANIMOOG

    BEST ALL TIME IOS PRODUCT.

Only app that made the most out of SYNTHESIS and the IOS interface(GUI) all in 1.

    And did this early on.

Why MOOG decided to go all stock products.....well.....to sell hardware......but.......would love to see another

ORIGINAL MOOG IOS IDEA FOR IOS!

  • KaossAnimoogerfooger would be a treat for sure.

As an old bass player, the LinnStrument allows me to "see" what I want to play. I've never been able to play the keyboard. As to the MPE thing, I still have to get used to it and learn how to tweak presets so they sound well with the Linnstrument expression controls.

That said, Animoog's keyboard is capable of amazing expression too.

I don't know crap but I enjoy the sound nonetheless. That's the thing. There are other wavetable synths out there but nothing compares to the visual way of manipulating the timbres/waves.

And then there is the sound(s) - but I already said that, didn't I?

    Honestly

    I wouldn’t

Model 15 and D are not viable for many people

Model 15 was flawless until AB3 / AU openings

I would be heartbroken to have anything mess up

    Frankly

Animoog is a cash cow as is they have no reason to even do that.
