Releasing music

Releasing music...don't have enough completed tracks for an EP or Album yet, but...
Should I release completed songs as singles and not wait until I have enough for an EP or album?
Can I later combine these singles into an album (Distrokid is probably what I'll use)
Just curious on members opinions and experiences.

I release my songs as singles for free throughout the year, then at the end of each year I compile them all into an album and put it for sale in case people want lossless versions. Works great.
Release for free? On Bandcamp or Soundcloud or something like that?
