D1 IAA Broken since today’s update

Updated this afternoon and now cannot load IAA instance from AUM. Tried re-boot etc. If I load D1 as standalone and then from AUM as an IAA it loads but does not have the App switched button at the top of the screen and crashes soon after.

Anybody else having problems?

  • Try opening D1 standalone, and go into Settings and make sure BG Audio is enabled, then add it to AUM.
I am getting the same crashes you described, but this seems to work.
I think BG Audio could get switched off between uses, so possibly check that it is enabled after firing up D1.

  • They are working on it. There will be a new update soon from what I understand.

  • joys of software development! So many devices, so many hosts......

Thanks for suggestion - background audio is on so no that is not it. Thanks anyway. Will await update. Plenty of other toy to play with.

Thanks for the heads up. There is some good news in all of this -- We have a brand new fix for Audiobus and IAA. And, it has been pushed to Apple for approval. I believe there is one update in the queue at Apple and then the next one will contain our latest code. It should be ready in about 24 hours depending on how fast Apple moves. (Should be avail to download tomorrow, Friday, Nov 2). Thanks for your patience!

Another thing I noticed, first startup after crashing, the interface was unresponsive and caused another crash. I tried playing the internal KB and it seemed to wake the app back up after a second or two. Then it worked in AUM again.
Not really sure what is up, but like I said, I had the same crashing behavior as you described. Now it is working again, after BG Audio enabling and getting it to respond in standalone.
    Good luck!

  • I have been able to open it as IAA in Cubasis but sound was intermittent and also, there was quite a lot of noise each time I pressed or released a key on my midi keyboard. Hopefully that will be fixed too! It is a fantastic synth!
