Groove Rider GR-16 No Pads?

I just purchased GR-16 on my iPhone, and instead of two rows of 8 pads I have a single row of 16 keys. Can’t seem to figure out how to switch to pads, which is whaf I see in every demo/tutorial.

See the GR-16 thread for my answer:

  • Technically you’ve got a single row of pads and not “no pads.” For the sake of epicness please keep all future related posts properly posted in the epic thread

The iPhone is a smaller screen than the iPad. For the purposes of not taking up precious screen real estate with two rows of 8 big square pads on the phone and then jamming the synth controls into an even tinier space, the developer wisely chose to portray the pads on iPhone as a single row of 16 rectangular “keys”. They are the same thing.

There are benefits to this: With a completely linear layout, similar to a piano, these iPhone pads make melodies much easier to play across octaves as you don’t have to keep jumping back and forth between rows.

    "pure laziness"

Must be a glitch in the OP's firmware causing the self irony meter to report a false negative.

I’m the OP. I never said anything about anyone being lazy. In fact, after being directed to the GR-16 thread for an answer I did just that and thanked those who offered their assistance.

Perhaps there’s a glitch in @ZenKier’s firmware causing him to to carelessly rush to judgement.

Ok I need to have my eyes checked. Sorry man.

The self-entitled asshatery of the other users comment just rubbed me the wrong way, but I should have double checked whose comment I was remarking on.

  • Having more than one one GR thread is unsettling. :|

Does "one one" leave room for two? :p
