    Look for a metronome or anything else that has tap tempo, I'm sure there are plenty of options.

    Gives an automatic bpm readout above the pitch slider when song/track is loaded - works very well

    @hisdudeness Tap tempo within. But FYI The DJDJ app by the developer that created SeekBeats is more than just the best DJ app out there but a freakin amazing tool for production and utility. Link enabled too! So highly recommended.

    You could always do it the mathematical way.

    Carefully trim a section of a known number of beats. AudioShare is great for this because you can loop the trimmed section to be sure you have the slice points accurate. Then divide the number of beats by the length of the clip in seconds and multiply by 60. You don't even need to save the edited sample. All the information you need is right there.

    yes Iam aware, however the app suggested by user was really amazing for me, it just finds the tempo (well recorded pieces) and syncs with ableton link ...in a flash, making it possible to instantly jam...also you must be aware there those pieces with in between tempos ..example 72.5 .. which drive me nuts nudging tap tempo up and down, cubsis and Auria time stretch are not the greatest ( when compared to ableton) .. so every now and then I need precise tempo
