Geweldig! We are pretty close neighbors in comparison to the sun.

    Greetings
When I finally got my teaching degree in 1994, there were not many jobs available (Ontario had messed up their planning). Also, I had always wanted to see more of our planet, and a teaching degree is a ticket to much of the world. Spent a year in a small city in South Korea first, which was difficult, as I was the only natural blonde there and thus the subject of many stares. Then spent the summer in England, up near Coventry, and found the job that brought me here. Only planned on spending a few years in Istanbul and then continuing on my travels. But life happened: got a girlfriend, who became my wife, who became the mother of our now 16 year old daughter.
I'll never know if my life has been better or worse for this decision, (though I strongly suspect better) but it certainly has been more interesting than it would have been staying in Ottawa.

  • Pyrénées mountains, France (Pau near Biarritz and Spain)

  • A galaxy far far away

  • Middle of nowhere, near some cows, sheep etc.

Good story and a life story and funny that in many ways Coventry is the most exotic place you mention. Glad you saved yourself :)

Pau is brilliantly situated! What’s the specific mountain in the picture?
