  • Yeah! I’ve thought about Derrida so much since starting into music - his ‘Tympan’ which he wrote in the margins of Margins of Philosophy - traces back the “ear worm” to its roots in Perse-phone’ has been very influential to me, and his writing - sonorous! Thx 4 sharing @JeffChasteen

    Def. a late night romp this one. Struggled with the complexity (noise and concepts :) ) over my coffee...notorious abstruseness indeed, but it also made me think -as JD will- about using foreign languages just below the comprehension line in songs. The problem always being (like tattoos) that what sounds so good might actually be instructions for cleaning toilets with your tongue or worse. French does sound good, as I find Japanese and Korean can also, but beware the pharmakon!
