Seekbeats in app fx worth it?
Love this app and usually multitrack out but just saw the fx i had forgotten about. They any good?
Comments
I like them when using sb standalone. Can get crazy quickly
They are good
It’s like a mini SunVox in there.
A few things to know going in:
There is no MIDI control.
There’s just one out for the entire board (plus the 8 raw channel outs and the overall Seekbeats master).
I don’t think any of the sliders do that double-tap ‘range’ thing that you find in the main app.
And so far as I can tell, you can’t save your own default start points for any of the modules. It can be time consuming.
All this said, it’s lots of fun and sounds great.
Good info. Will be taking the plunge
Do it! It's an awesome modular FX environment! And you can save the FX setup separate from the overall patch so they can be reused.
Another pretty kick-ass thing is that when you export a loop from SB using the internal FX, you get a nice seemless loop except for in REALLY crazy FX setups with a lot of long modulation on verbs or delays.
Thanks. Yeah. Doing it, just waiting to see if something i want (don’t have) goes on sale. Cool info about the export but i doubt i’ll use it. I love tracking it live into aum an using the sliders and mining that for happy accidents.
Seekbeats remains a classic treasure. I've only recently REALLY gotten into it, but it's so easy to do what you want with it.
It sounds amazing. So round and warm.
