xequence. how to copy midi from one track to another

how do i copy midi from one track to another. i can copy and paste, but it just paste it back in the same track lane. even if i have clicked into the other track. anybody have any tips?

  • You can use the song position pointer to locate the time at which to paste and then use the move cursors to reposition to the target track.

Or you could copy the data from the source tracks piano roll and then go to the piano roll on the target track and paste.

This is top of my head. Somebody may be able to post a better/more succinct solution.

When you hit paste, the newly pasted clip will be selected. So you can just use the up/down and left/right movement buttons to quickly move it to the new track and position.

  • @eross, you can also just hit one of the copy buttons in the bottom toolbar, and then move to another track using the vertical handle.

  • aghhhh vertical handle you sneaky little.....I don’t know how i missed that. thanks !> @SevenSystems said:
