Gestrument Pro - Tutorials and Black Friday
Hey everybody!
Just wanted to let you know that we just launched our Black Friday sale and the first part of our Gestrument Pro tutorial series!
In this one, we wanted to share some of the basic concepts and features of the app along with a brief breakdown of the Grooveboxing preset to help you start creating your own. It’s still just scratching at the surface, but in future videos we’ll take more in depth looks at various features in Gestrument Pro.
Let me know if you have any questions about the video or app in general, and I’ll try to address those either here, in the comments on YouTube, or in future videos
Cheers!

Excellent tutorial!
bought
(I've been waiting for the sale ~ thx)
Got the app at launch but deff gonna watch this series!
Excellent app!

Great!
Awesome will be watching this weekend
I avoide even watching demo's due to the price range of the App in the past. I watched a video and looked to see if I could buy it on an iPhone 5S. PURCHASED. It should be fun learning to creat film music in my iphone's screen without any MIDI controller that doesn't sound synth-y.
Yes sir 👍
Thanks hope you find it helpful!
Oh you☺️
Great to see an app that actually makes use of those beautiful touch screens. Looks very intriguing.
Great to hear it! I usually rens to lean a bit towards synthy stuff, but Gestrument Pro has been instrumental (pun fully intended) in helping me approach more acoustic sounds as well.
During the beta I actually used Gestrument Pro to help my SO score a short film for a film school application. I started by writing a short melody as a motif, which I then used as a base for a GPRO patch. By doing this, GPRO turned into a kind of musical sketchbook that allowed me to experiment and easily find variations on the original motif
Thanks! As I mentioned in the video, we really tried our best to make Gestrument Pro something that used the touchscreen's potential to it's fullest rather than creating representations of keys or other physical instruments (not that there's anything wrong with that). To me, this is one of the more interesting aspects of the app, as it lets me approach music in a new and quite unique way
Thanks for the heads up. Are the crispy fonts like in AUM coming any time soon? I love the app but I burn my eyes on it. Thanks
I love the font on Gestrument Pro.
I was talking about an option here. Don't worry, you can keep your lovely fonts XD
Thank you 🌺
Great video tute for a great app. GPro is in my top 3 new apps for 2018!
Is there a Gestrument Pro recording feature or should I run it in AUM to record?
@Gestrumentsander bought at launch but thrilled about the video, more please!
Thanks for bringing this up! I’ll make sure to take it up with the team!
Thanks! It’s my favourite too, but I might be a bit biased
Nope! Definitely go for AUM
Awesome! We have a bunch more planned so look forward to that
THANK YOU for the excellent video !
Really - what a masterpiece this is.
Finally got this app, thanks for the sale. @Gestrumentsander Any chance you could make the interface have more contrast? It would help on an iPhone where things can get quite tiny!
I bought GP last month and am happy using it.
+1 for some sort of contrast option for the notes/beat division grid.
@McDtracy - a rec button is on our todo list, but since it's possible to record the audio in AUM and the MIDI in any DAW, we shipped it without to not loose more time. We had planned to release this early 2017, so it was a bit behind schedule...
@e121 and @Blipsford_Baubie - we will look into contrast options.
