SanDisk Ultra 128GB UHS-I/Class 10 MicroSDXC Memory Card With Adapter- SDSDQUAN-128G-AFFP for $35 (Amazon sale 'til Tuesday) and the non-discounted Apple SD Card reader for $28
yeah, I've been scouring for 2tb external ssd's for cybermonday.. any leads?
That reminds me, I have an old aluminum macbook I wanted to revive with an SSD HD swap.
it's completely revived my 2012 mbp. highly recommended.
I bought a Samsung 500gb drive for £62 (link in the other thread) from Amazon a couple of days ago. Same as I bought in May for £120, and even that was reduced.
I picked up a 240GB SSD ($46) and 8GB of RAM ($40) to pump up my old macbook.
Listed Canadian $ btw, US was $10 cheaper on both. Free shipping.
Shopping online is weird these days, I went to check out BestBuy and their site now lists other vendors like the Amazon Marketplace. Found a good deal at the NewEgg site then found they had the same deal listed on eBay but with free shipping. Then a $5 coupon popped up on my screen from eBay, I figured it was some kind of spam for limited products but it actually worked!
Anyways, I shopped around for both and eBay seemed to have the best deals.
Link to the other thread?
It's in the Black Friday thread innards somewhere, easier if I just post a link to the thing:

looks like it's gone up a bit now though, but still nearly half price.

I bought a 1tb Samsung Evo 860 ssd to use as my recording drive in my 2012 15" mbp (replaced the DVD drive with a hard drive for recording the day I bought it used this year) from Amazon for $134. Microcenter had it for same price but I wasnt going near there this weekend! And yes, with the ssd system drive the 2012 mbp runs really fast, and my Mac mini runs slow as anything with its 5400 rpm drive. Will be replacing that this week finally with a 256gb I have. It probably doesn't help it that I swapped the 8gb ram that my mbp had with the 16gb that the Mac mini had....
SSD are like less than 1/2 the price it was about 6 months ago... I guess these are the last days of 'HDD'?
thanks for the heads up, most appreciated
