9min long ambient groove to relax clean or drive to

This is my first long form attempt. No real key changes - a little halting in the transitions, but it was all performed and recorded in one go in AUM. Enjoy the laid back syncopation.

  • And let me know what you think or if you enjoyed it ;)

  • Sitting in a cafe. Having my Bluetooth headphones and listening to your jam. I really like it. The loftiness and the dark bellish sounds are really cool. Will you let me in how you did it and stuff? 👊🏼😁

  • This is great man ! I love ambient, down tempo stuff,

  • Calmed me down enough to start reading this incredibly boring document on WordML.

    Thanks :)

  • Really cool !

    Like the title, MV08RoseGrain, might intimate I used MV08 and several Granular applications. Two things were an experiment for the track: Automating some part of Autony with an LFO, and finally opening SpaceCraft.

    ROUTING
    RosetaLFO --> Autony --> TardiGrain, iSymphonic, and Kauldron.*
    Roseta to move the clock knob in Autony so I get longer and shorter notes.
    iSymphonic on a plucky Pizzicato patch, and the same note data to Kauldron whose patch had a slower attack and legato (put a high pass filter to take out some 'errant low notes').

    iSymphonic mixbus --> Crystaline (100% mix) --> Perforator
    Cystaline for more harmonics and to wash in more ambience.
    Perforator gave some subtle movement and rhythm.

    Tardigrain --> FACMaxima --> Objeq
    Tardigrain came in really quiet so FAC Maxima to the rescue. (The following is secret sauce) Some sounds might be overly percussive, like what I was getting out of Tardigrain.
    To remedy that I used Objeq (AAS) as a resonator to 'add/shift' overtones and pitch. This guy uses it here similarly but with hardware.

    Bassline --> to 2 channels in Quanta*
    RosetaRhythm --> MV08

    *A nice thing I've found is to double up parts if you aren't getting what you want rhythmically or sonically.

    Performing was: switching up drum parts and moving Autony's chord and transpose knobs, and moving mutes and faders. Compositionally it all started with Spacecraft and a shimmery drone.
