Guitar interface

I keep running into circles trying to decide on an interface. Originally I thought I had an ipad2 but I just found out I have the iPad 4th gen because it has the lightning connected and not the 30 pin....I'm trying for to find the cheapest solution for my needs but I wanted the older griffin studio connect but it's 30 pin so can I get that and just get an adapter or will I loose sound quality, right now they are only $40 or do I need to shell out the extra cash for an irig hd?

You’re better off spending a little more for something that doesn’t have the 30 pin connector. It’s only going to lead to obsolescence and further expense quickly.

These are digital connections, so no, you don’t need to worry about sound quality degradation. However, the more connections you have the more chance of something coming loose. This is especially true for those old 30 pin connectors!
