Agree. All the excellent chord generator apps dance around this but don't nail it. Yet.

    Hey thanks for that MD!
I had downloaded it ages ago, been meaning to have a delve, but just went through the manual, and had a play - and it is a pretty impressive piece of software!
Yeah - bring it to IOS :)

  • I just emailed the developer

  • Does Chord poly pad translate single incoming notes to chords along a given scale like Quantichord?

No, you play chords with each pad. You can have CPP create chords randomly for each pad based on key/scale and other factors or you can create the chord voicing for each pad yourself. I think you can set it up to send separate midi note to CPP to trigger each pad to play but the chords have to already be assigned to the pads.

I happen to know about chord construction and voice leading so I usually create my own voicings and since I’m really a guitarist it allows me to pretend to be a keyboard player (at least chordwise). This is one of my favorite Midi controllers!

    The manual is here: http://dev.laurentcolson.com/medias/ChordPolyPad/en/ChordPolyPad.pdf

Edit: It is not AU and the developer said it won’t be but it does support side by side or split screen. It is universal so I can share presets in iCloud and use on all my devices, phones too.
