  • Truly love this synth and glad it’s on iOS. 👊🏼™️💕

  • Very impressed with the sounds this synth can make. Great for unusual atmospheres.

So now that some time has passed and you’ve all settled in to work with Aparillo, how do you all find it? Fun? Annoyances? Essential? Too much of a good thing? Never enough? In all of your tracks? Used as a dash of spice? Not used at all?

One thing I haven’t been able find answered anywhere ... is the current IAP price an intro price or is that its final cost? Thanks.

Love it, and use it all the time. Only negative point is it can sound a bit harsh and tinny, so you have to keep your eye on it.

  • Love it! I use it all the time...

  • I’ll be the lone nay vote.

I appreciate that I was able to try it out first. I wanted to like this but using the built in sounds (didn’t buy the IAP) I couldn’t find anything I felt I could use in a musical way so I deleted it. Different strokes I guess.

The desktop demo has access to all of the presets (at least it did when i tried it last year) and that is what really sold me on it. I don't think I would have been nearly as compelled by the free sampling on iOS.

  • I really love that synth it’s the only thing that came close. To Absynth on windows pc
If you bought the full version are there still packs to download or is everything included?

Well, that's me. Not compelled at all. I'm grateful for the try-before-buy thing though.

  • Love this synth and use it a lot, having a few crashes with 3 + instances but hopefully that can be sorted.

It’s all there already, the IAP just unlocks stuff.

I got an absolutely gorgeous patch/sequence going on it last night.

    Love it.

Eating crow time. I guess I spoke too soon. I downloaded it, played for about 20 minutes (if that) and said NOPE. Deleted it. But then, I start with the ... hmmmm?? phase. It was nagging at me. So I downloaded it again. This time I had a very different reaction. And there were more presets discovered the second time (beginner's mistake). Okay, so the long and short is ... I'm no longer on the fence. It's quite something. I don't know how much use I'd get out of it. Don't know if I'm getting it soon but ... I think I might want it. Yeah, I'm a bit off. Maybe don't demo synths when you have a migraine.

That's confusing to me. Must've been scary to an 8 year old. "Hold me Nanny!!"

Nanny, as in woman employed by your family to look after the children or your Grandmother? How posh are you?! :D

  • So after @echoopera dropped his last project, I had to grab aparillo and dang is it good!! I had the demo but it's basically useless with no ab connectivity or anything lol... So I finally decided it was time... Surfing the presets and I'm totally loving the authenticity / originality that this machine is able to put out...
I hate the icon for it so it can't go on my main iPad page tho lolol sorry but it's ugly as it gets 🤣🤣🤣🤣
the synth itself is great on the eyes and not to bad to get around and discover things.
The sugar bytes walk thru videos are nice too!
Glad to be in the club 👆
It was either this or kleverb and I'm happy, but still want kleverb lol... Spring sale 🌷 would be great 😆

  • I really hope they make a better looking icon for this thing, I don't even wanna look at that red circle with the grey ring stuck in a white box....sheesh !!! Come on!!

I agree, which is why in AUM I almost always follow it with a LP filter with a pretty low Q to soften it up a bit. Also, running it through Reamp helps as well as it seems to "smear" it a bit...

  • I completely missed this synth and just downloaded the trial. How is everyone finding it after a few months? Worth the upgrade price? Are you still using it?

  • Just a heads up; there is a good chance of Aparillo seeing its first discount price next week, following the previous pattern of Easter and holiday sales from SB.

I use it all the time and it fits my tastes. What sort of music/sounds do you like?

  • Love it and use it a lot :)

@echoopera : just posted a lovely piece in the Atom thread with lots of Aparillo. It is a really cool synth.

80s, cinematic, weird synth bleeps. Is there much overlap between this and Layr? It kinda seems like a beefed up Kiev from Gadget.

THESE ARE NOT MINE!!!!! NOT MINE!!!

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3w8pbboycmuxpnw/AAATq4EFhUvX5tfEQ5BSAe5Oa?dl=0

They come from Sound of Izrael. I found them during a twitter session.
Its a pain to import them (as it goes only one by one, but Samuel did again some amazing patches. He is awesome, his Preset pack for Mersenne is NUTS!!!)

It's easy to import them all at once if you have icloud drive enabled, just goes in the presets/user folder :)
