Difference betwin Electribe & Gorillaz
I have Gorillaz but I'm looking for buy the original…
Can you say me if there is some important feature for make it better?
Comments
Gorillaz main sound source is samples from the band whereas iElectribe is drum synthesis like the original Korg ER-1.
Is much more better?
I need to buy it???
.
I like both versions (iElectribe was my very first app purchase three years ago) Gorillaz is cool but I would recommend the original iElectribe version, yes. These days they support AB, you can bounce loops, export with audiocopy and performance record. Even personalise the screen background in the app - look at my avatar ;-)
@Simon I remember there was some legality or something that made it so you can't release the tracks commercially (like you said) with the Gorillaz version. What was the story/details on that?
.
Hmmm... That would make sense. Unfortunate for those buying the app though (which I didn't)....
I buy it and is very powerful and is The only One drum machine to works in sync with Cubasis...
It's better then Gorillaz, more features
Attaboy.
Yeah, I wouldn't purchase the Gorillaz version myself. However, if I was offered a download code, yeah I'd get it then, just for fun. The original iElectribe is worth the money, even at full price.
I got the gorillaz one on sale, it's really nice. I also have the original too though.
I have thought about buying this and came close several times, but I already have DM1 which after watching videos and reading the specs seems much more capable. Plus DM1 is a quarter of the price.
I might get it on sale but just not sure. The D<\M1 packs one hell of a punch. I will have to watch more ielectribe videos first. Any one know of the best videos showing off the ielectribe?
Is this really the truth that iElectribe syncs well to cubasis?I read it multiple times but officially it even does not support midi sync,no?
Guess i would buy it if it syncs properly.

That being said, I was not aware I could import samples into either DM-1 or Ielectribe.
How do you get your samples into the Ielectribe. This could be a good sales point for me perhaps, especially at half off.
I am currently making a list and checking it twice for apps to for Christmas day.
Just picked up ielectribe at half off. It is pretty sweet! I can see myself finding alot of use for it !
iElectribe syncs to MIDI clock and responds to cc changes over virtual MIDI
I just uploaded this PEAKQ video and I used iElectribe running through PEAKQ, thought you may find it interesting on this thread
Hahaha, your just trying to make me by more stuff. It works you know, I often end up buying .
@Crabman i have buy the original only because my Grillaz is the only one Drum Machine that receive perfect sync (with start and stop) from Cubasis, I use it every day, you must going at begin of track and push Start in Cubasis and it start, when you Stop it stop :-)
iElectribe has intrigued me for a while but i can't figure out if it's worth the price. Seems very limited in terms of built-in sounds and i have no desire to import a bunch of samples. Still, people speak very highly of it and the possibility of running it through some FX via Audiobus is very tempting.
@synthandson is exactly correct on this! The whether or not you like the sound is very important. I personally, do not care for the sound--it's not bad, just not what I like. The app is a pretty solid app, and you won't usually go wrong with Korg stuff. Just make sure you like the sound. I bought it, but don't use it.
Thanks everyone. I do like the sounds, based on what i've heard on video demos. Importing samples would be amazing but for $10, i'm fine with a little limitation.
Can you apply FX to individual parts or is it always global?
You can apply the effects to individual voices, however only one effect at a time, which was disheartening before the days of audiobus, but seems inconsequential anymore.
I find myself often applying a touch of bitcrush to the kick and snare then leave everything else clean. This can give the kick and snare a sort of NIN-ish sound (think Year Zero)

i bought the iElectribe now and it's a fun app (i had a couple of hardware tribes so it's nothing new for me)but it's also another one that just doesn't sync well to cubasis on my iPad4.It start/stops well and the timing is at least not shaky but it clearly runs behind the masterclock from cubasis.I used it in AB,only Cubasis and the Tribe. All other apps closed and bluetooth/Wlan off.
