Holy crapola. That modular thing was just a dream speculation! This is a must buy. Can’t wait to hear samples of it.

One thing for sure, there will never be a Keys 2.0
The Keys version was interesting for me. I liked a lot of the programming and peformance features, but the overall sound of it just left me sort of meh after awhile. On paper it seemed like the best option for me, but in use I just never really did anything that found it's way into one of my songs.
Kinda wish I would have gotten the Sample or Kick, though ultimately I ended up just selling the keys and sticking with the Circuit.
I've heard that the Volca Bass is something like the "better Keys"...
Thanks for posting this!
A quality drum modeler would really be an exciting add-on, these are rare even in the classic Mac/Win world.
And who knows, KORG might be faster than the propellerheads porting Kong to iOS or at least Gadget.
The little modular looks interesting too.
Hope they're not one of these fantasy designs that became "meh" in the end product.
Really?
I don't have enough choices.....and now this shit you drop on me as Santa packs his sleigh......
WTF man!
LOL
Wow.
Ok.
I am kind of spoiled w the Circuit and Mono regarding the ease of USB.
The VOLCA keys is a gift and I feel like as a gift I would enjoy it even for laying out of MONOCIRCUIT or something like that.
For adding voices to that "area" of sound in some cases, you know.
Thanks for input though.
You can play 3-note chords with Keys. Not so on Bass. Also, Bass has no Flux
Had the keys. Enjoyed it for a bit but once recorded there was always morehum or dirt than i wanted. And the sounds just ok. In an all hardware rig it would make sense to me, a cheap, extra, warm poly voice. To add to an ipad or daw session it doesn’t. So many ipad synths sound better, less wires, less setup, etc. I guess if you have cool hardware fx it would be cool to run the keys through them. I’ve had the keys, sample and kick. Only really miss the sample, cool as extra drums to clear up tracks on other gear.
what are you guys enjoying about the circuit so much, just curious as I had one for a good while but in the end couldn't wait to get rid of the thing. I was heavily invested in its development from the start as well as the pipe dreams my beloved novation played on the fiddle here on the forum but my final thought was this thing is the last thing one should get if they have any other hardware or software sequencers on hand, its the only piece of hardware I had that made me feel like there was no need for it if I have an iPad.
Of course I'm familiar with and happy for all of the updates that they've implemented but even so, its still seemingly the most piecemeal-ed-out piece of frustrating kit I've ever experienced, like a hardware version of the original auxy app. .... so what do you love about it so?
I think the Volca thing is interesting. I have a few hardware synths, some really nice ones. But, I just really enjoy the Volcas. They are very gratifying to me - in sound (yes, limited) and in form factor. Perhaps the limitation is what I like, dunno, but for me they are special.
For me the real joy in the Circuit is that it has no display and the knobs aren't fixed assignments. It literally forces you to only listen to what you're doing and just experiment until you get good results. The delay and reverbs are some of my favorite from any groovebox too, along with those uber-powerful synths. Ongoing support and features being added, along with a well thought out way of backing up and sharing my projects doesn't hurt either.
Oh, and it runs on batteries. Any time i just need a quick little midi keyboard or sequencer I can just grab it and one cable and be up and running asap.
I hear ya, ... it always made me feel like it might be the perfect thing if I ever got in a particular kind of fix but I never ended up in the appropriate context I guess, it was a weird experience for me..
this mad scientist though
Circuit has changed my life musically.
Something magical and so intuitive .
best thing I ever bought.
IS THERE A NEW OVERBRIDGE?
DOES MAKE BIG DIFFERENCE?
DIGITAK (w Overbridge) vs. OCTATRACK (as is)
I imagine the DTAK w OB is much more iOS and Ableton friendly for many reasons?
Hard to say if I want to turn over much of my flow to Octatrack vs joining DIG to current approach involving looping etc.?
Yes looking for opinions.....
