  • I hope they don’t take figure from our download histories.

  • It doesn’t surprise me.
Figure could’ve been head and shoulders above the competition, but they just didn’t listen.
Time and time again ‘WE’ (the AB forum members) told them what was needed, what direction their apps should be heading in order to fit into the iOS production environment, and they just didn’t take heed.

It would be a real shame if another dev didn’t take on figure and develop it into the iOS star it deserves to be.

Beatonal is a sort a alternative

  • It’s strange indeed. It is a very popular and fun way of making music- but now both Figure and iKaossilator seem to be heading for the museum- and they seem to be the only two draw your notes on a pad types available. Maybe there is an opportunity for a developer here.

  • I gave Beatonal a spin one night and did quite enjoy its Figure like features, was close to buying the IAP full version unlock but its soooo ugly.

A figure like module for Rozeta suite would be sweet. Both for notes and CC recording.

    Know what you mean.

Why give a free app that makes the same sounds as IAP for REASON iOS can do?

    Smart business move.

Problem is FIGURE is a great introductory "gateway" app for young aspiring music makers and novices to see the joy of creating their own music.

Perhaps the effort put into ALIPOOPA could have been put into FIGURE with an new IAP for AU FX or multi instruments..................

I mean duh......look at Groovebox and Reason compact the keyboards are essentially Figure.

I will support and end up on board no matter what they do the quality is there.

Yep. I bought Figure when it came out, and thought it was a great little thing - the potential was huge but they mucked it about, and finally mucked it up completely.

Music making apps just don’t fit the subscription/cloud account model - there just aren’t enough of us willing, or able to pay a monthly fee for our apps.

But we’ll hoover up pretty much every new synth, fx, AU and IAP going, so that’s where the money is. There’s not much of it to go round, but that’s what most of us are spending it on. That’s the market.

Hopefully someone will take Figure over (again), but probably not if the accountants have anything to do with it.

Keep beating that drum. I’m hopeful we’ll get there eventually

Beatonal is fun, also the synth behind it is fully programable. I understand that the GUI is not really attractive, but imo it's all about have things sound and IAP is only 2 bucks.
See that it hasn't been update for the last 18 months, so guess that it is abandone ware as so much audio apps...
