Not to mention a little gem called AudioKit Synth One too! Congrats to all!
Yup congrats!
Which one do you not own already? Ferrite is a Podcasters recording app so... I can pass until I feel the need to publish in that way.
For me it's "Group the Loop" and "NS2".
Ferrite and NS2.
Phew. I might have a problem if owned them all...
Congratulations to everyone!
🙏
I only own 4 on that list: Audiobus 3, Audiokit Synth One, KB-1 and NS2. I've looked at all the others obviously, but they don't really gel with my style of music.
Although personally I would rate Audiokit D1 waaaayyyy above Synth One. I get that Synth One is free and open-source, but D1 sounds much much nicer to my ears.
Kb1 & NS2
Kb-1? It's nice but not deserving of a top ten spot. I haven't touched Stagelight or whatever Group the Loop is, so I can't comment. #1 for me is easily apeMatrix, and the Model D Minimoog should've made the list out of pure respect for quality. Past that, and it's just personal preference, but I don't think I got a bigger kick other than those two than I did from Ratshack Reverb. Sucks to see Noir so low as well, and I think Kosmonaut came out this calendar year too. And no Klevgrand?? Well, I'm over this list, but hey that's how it goes.
Model D didn’t come out this year though, did it? Otherwise I should definitely have put it in.
(I wrote that list btw)
On the app store, it says version 1 was released 8 months ago, so I THINK it was, not 100% sure. Anyway, respectful list, though I have my personal disagreements.
It’s pretty much a list of my favorites of the year. Thinking about it now, I really should have asked here first.
I've got no problem with that, as long as I can say mine would be wayy different on an anonymous forum
Thanks @mistercharlie . I’m obviously happy to be featured on the list in the first place.
But I’m especially happy to see things like KB-1 and Apematrix on there. Too many of these lists only contain the well-known or big-name mainstream apps and leave out the forward-looking ‘slightly under the mainstream radar’ concepts. This one has some pretty awesome innovative things in there that added something new in terms of concept (apematrix) or even business model (audiokit) in 2018...
Model D was released in February or March of this year. I think we did the sound fest in March.
Congratulations to all who made the list!
I have 7 out of 10.
I have to to ask though, where the hell is SPACECRAFT?!?!
Make a list. How about we drop Ferrite and add SpaceCraft or Kozmonaut or ___________?
Love all the winners, and CONGRATULATIONS AUDIOBUS!!!
It’s about time we took a minute to appreciate the app we all take for granted because it’s so fundamental to everything we do, whether we use it constantly or not. (If you post a comment here saying you never use it, that counts as using it!)
Nanostudio 2 is without competition 2018 best app to iOS!
Second place goes to Affinity Designer (not a music app though)...
Have almost every app on the list except Apematrix and Ferrite...
Behind Nanostudio 2 there’s soooooooo many fuckin’ great music apps... We’re too spoiled!!
Cool!! And thanks guys
Congrats to the other devs!
