Beatmaker 2 vs 3

Hi, I’m doing a bit of a clean out of my iPad hoping to squeeze some iSymphonic/crudebyte stuff in its back pockets when and if a sale comes. I’m a bit stuck on beatmaker 2 and 3. I have both and would like to make space. Im not really a user of the apps at the moment, so am unfamiliar except that I really like a lot of the samples that come with bm2 and really dislike most on 3. I don’t like any dance/hip hop EDM etc stuff. Can I access the samples on 2 on 3 somehow? It might be the bm starter pack or something I wasn’t sure when I looked at the store, it all looked pretty unappealing for my preferences.

I think there may now be an easier way- Intua BM3 forum is worth looking at. When BM3 first dropped I converted 100+ BM2 kits and instruments using a file renaming software, changing the old filename to the new

  • BM2 still has far superior midi editing IMHO. Like NS1, of course. And indeed, some good workaday instruments and samples, as opposed to BM3’s hot pursuit of wackiness.

  • Omg bm3 is so unstable, it’s not fun using it ( for me) how could you guys, how?

Might be a difference among devices, I’m having no issues with stability, on iPad Pro 10.5, though I’m sure it helps I build stuff one thing a time, and use inapp sample instruments and kits as often as I use AUv3 stuff
