"File Player" AUv3?

Was wondering if someone can help. Thinking super basic here. I like the File Player in AUM but I'm migrating my set up to Audiobus and wondering if there is something really light that is an AU that can function similarly to File Player in terms of syncing with Link, looping in time, and also functioning as a one-shot WAV file player. And of course can be controlled via MIDI for play/stop.

Is there anything out there that is super basic on this way? I understand I can just run AUM alongside Audiobus, but I'm trying to stay light on the CPU and as it is I can run everything pretty smoothly with only AB.

    Not running on a DAW, just AB3 set up for live use.

    What other apps are you going to use in your AB setup?

    RE-1 is a good option

    Or, if you get apeMatrix, it comes with an AU sample player that can be used in any host.

    Here it is in AUM, apeMatrix, and AB3

    There really isn’t anything suitable as an AU in my opinion. The IAA loopers like Loopy are the best alternatives I can think of.

    I doubt you add any real significant CPU overhead by running AUM. It’s probably more of a perception than reality.
