Getting ipad audio out of Modstep with external gear plugged in via CCK
Hi there, I have Modstep on my ipad sequencing a bunch of volcas and a circuit. My set up is:
CCK from ipad > powered USB Hub
USB Hub > iconnectmidi2+ > Kenton thru-5 > Volca beats, bass, keys
USB hub > Circuit via USB
All of the volcas and circuit go into a mixer then to amp / speakers
I also have audio from the ipad headphone jack going into the mixer HOWEVER no audio comes out of the ipad when the CCK is plugged in. Unplug the CCK and audio comes through the mixer / speakers no problem.
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks in advance, Louis

You are not doing anything wrong. With the CCK connected, midi and audio goes through the CCK connection. You need a midi/audio interface like the iconnectaudio4+. From the ICA4+ you can route your midi and your audio.
@louis_helpits : try plugging into the headphone jack after all other devices have been connected. That often re-establishes the headphone output as the audio pathway.
Thank you! Plugging in headphone jack last worked! Phew!
