Looking for a wave editor with au and other plugins support
Just looking for a wave editor with the support for multiple Fx plugins that I have spent money on. I wasted my money on TwistedWave, and submitted a couple reviews and also bug reports (namely that every selection of audio that you try to apply outside fx to within the app leaves you with a block of silence, rendering it useless to me, and therefore being a waste of my money ) to no avail or response from the developer. This kind of thing has been happening a lot with apps like this that I have purchased (shoddy functionality and response from devs ) . So is there anything out there like this? The market is ripe for it if not.
Best, (this is my first post ... sorry to come across as frustrated,, I am though,,,,!,,)

I've been a long-term user of TwistedWave and after many e-mails to the TW dev and developers of different AudioUnits, I have to conclude that currently, my best audio editor is Audio Evolution Mobile, with the helpful side effect to be able to do multi-track edits and crossfades.
There are still many incompatibilities between current AU plugins and the current TwistedWave version, I even made the developers talk to each others with the result that mostly none of either was/were ready to accept that the "problem" is on their side.
Since AudioShare is not fit for audio edits like in TwistedWave, for anything more advanced I often switch to AEM.
AudioShare only supports IAA plugins, TW only supports a few AUv3 plugins, AEM can handle both. I wish AEM had the fast file management of AudioShare.
Another thing to consider is that a pure wave editor will not provide any clock information to the plugin which can be a problem when doing rhythmic stuff that you expect the plugin to run in sync with your rhythmic audio.
You may try out the free version of Ferrite, restricted to 4 tracks and a rather short timeline.
It supports AU and automation (including AU parameters).
Ferrite is focussed on podcasting and lacks several features you'd like in a DAW app, but it's mode of operation is quite smart - it just needs a small amount of time to get familiar with it's operation. My favourite snippet arranger in IOS land.
TwistedWave is a very useful editor nevertheless - I always use it for it's very precise and detailed level indicators and for quick precise cuts.
Amazing responses!!! It sounds like people might agree with me that there is room in the market for this kind of thing. Interestingly enough I checked out ferrite but I guess it’s interface deceived me into thinking it was simpler than it actually was, I will redownkoad, also need to check out AEM, much thanks both of you!!
You're welcome 👍🏼
When you try AEM, make sure you take a little time to practice and get familiar with the editing modes in arrangement view.
Example (excerpt from another post):
Load or record audio on a track, zoom in, hit [Split] and split into the sections you want to edit separately, hit [Scroll] and touch+hold the section you want to edit, then process (pitch shift, time stretch, reverse, fade in/out, normalize). To add AUv3 or IAA effects to only one section of a track, move that section to a different track (you have 3 tracks without the "Pro" IAP), add the FX and either freeze the track or export, depending on how you want to proceed.
