Looks like there's a new "Auto sampler" app...
Just ran across this on DiscChord, and don't see any posts about it.
I haven't tried it yet, but... If it does what it says on the box...

This could be cool in-device if it had AB3 audio in/out and midi
I know Auria Pro's Lyra does a good job importing SFZ's.
I think the olher apps might include Synth Master One, Stagelight and BM3.
$2 to make a SFZ automatically is worth looking into.
This just increases the need for AudioLayer to import SFZ's but it's possible AudioLayer will have a similar feature for auto feeding an App MIDI events miking this only valuable for adding instruments to Lyra. Still, $2.
Nice find! Seems to be quite limited but it's good to see a first step on iOS.
If it was my own app, I'd definitely add auto-truncation below level threshold over a time window, tiny fade-outs, 6/12/18/24 semitone step sampling options, adaptive sample rate depending of HF content and bit depth adjustment.
Auto-looping would be nice but that's quite some work to do right, maybe a future feature

The developer is not interested in IAA or AUv3 support, but does say that it has been requested a lot, so maybe at a later date.
Does it work with virtual midi ports ? If so and as long as you can turn off input monitoring, then you can still sample AU's and IAA's by using an audio loopback (connect your outs to your ins)
no
SynthJacker developer here. Thanks for the comments. It's early days for the app; improvements are coming, but no definite timeline. SynthJacker was primarily developed to sample hardware synths, but many have requested support for internal synths. Also auto looping, other formats besides SFZ... there's a lot that could be done!
Definitely interested in AUv3 support, not so much about IAA, but I realize that Audiobus would help a lot here. During the past month I've been looking at all of these. Virtual MIDI ports would be nice, but capturing the audio from the speaker does not seem to be possible (again, Audiobus to the rescue?). Or maybe I just haven't figured out the audio loopback thing...
If you're really desperate to autosample AUv3 or IAA apps right now, it can be done with a second iOS device connected to an audio interface.
Yes Audiobus is what you need for the audio loopback.
The app would be really nice as an AUv3. An ability to sample complex iOS setups into an SFZ would allow us more flexibility in our setups. An AUv3 host could route audio and MIDI to SynthJacker. Your app works very well with hardware synths and an expansion to include iOS synths would be very welcome.
Some iOS synths can use a lot of CPU so being able to convert those to a more CPU friendly SFZ would be awesome, sort of similar in some respects to being able to freeze MIDI tracks into audio tracks to develop more complex compositions.
Sounds interesting. Is this working with a pad sound also (So longer gates needed)?
I have some really lovely pads on my THOR that I would hijack out of the cage into the AUv3 world...
If I understood your question correctly, then yes - you can set the note length, note decay, and gap between notes. So if you take some time to figure out how long it will take for your pad to do its thing while it plays, and after you release the key, then just enter those values and you should be fine. The result is chopped into individual sample files based on those values.
Thanks mate. Then I should really consider that. Would be an option to free my Thor sounds. Cool.
Any idea, why I dont get a notification anymore when someone replies on my comment with quote? That sucks
