Simple KEW question?
Is there a way to delete all factory patterns instead of one by one? Sorry if I this is a lame question but I’ve fiddled a bit and can’t seem to find a solution.

Unfortunately there isn’t.
I don’t know a direct way, but somebody on the main KEW thread was talking about how they had taken the time to reset them all. Maybe track down who that was, have them do a backup, and then share that backup with the rest of us?

If I wanted the factory patterns back would I restore from a backup I make before installing this version? Do you loose any of your projects?
@McDtracy I’d just restore from inside settings. Any data you want to keep you can store wherever: Clouddrive, Dropbox, etc, etc. I couldn’t tell you if you can just reinstall the factory patterns and have them merge with your data? Probably if they’re stored in a different bank. Good luck.
What I don’t understand is why they would not have a feature built in to take a pattern/track and move it from one program to another. I.e. move S2 from one program to S2 in a different program. Seems like it should be a simple feature and should have been in from the onset. Why would you need to build it from scratch again just to hear a pattern set in a different program?
@Breezee I hear ya. Large industry tricks. Always a funny end game with Korg for some reason? Whatever. I’ve bought all their stuff because it’s good even though we always seem to have to go without good utilities. Midi!!!! What the heck? Anyways I’m going to open NEW up and look at pattern copy again. What you described is like rudimentary business. That doesn’t sound right so I’m gonna look right now. If that’s the case, oh well once again because us ios musicians always find a workaround. Right?☹️
@Breezee So I just created a blank pattern, named it, and then saved the pattern again and from pattern bank j, I overwrought onto song/ all patterns a. This is a cheep and ridiculous workaround. But hey I don’t need to worry about looking at those factory patterns and songs ever again if I don’t want to. You can overwrite patterns and songs from the corresponding lists. Done.
I dunno why y’all are deleting the factory patterns when’s it dead simple and efficient, time wise, to grab a drum beat from anyone one of them, or another part and simply compose right over it until there’s nothing but your stuff. Now you have to start at step one with a blank canvas every time. You can save right over them as you go along anyways, no need to have them all blank.
Matter of fact, with the jump mode, it’s a good idea to have the banks filled with as much stuff as possible
@db909 That’s cool. I prefer starting my tracks and music from 100% scratch. I guess it’s just the way I like starting things? I see what you are saying. These patterns are actually filled up again but with my own patterns now. Thanks for the tip.
