Korg Gadet 2 plugins for PC - you dont get all of them.
yup same here...
You can now export user patches from iMono/Poly to gadget - but only one at a time :(
However you can finally rename tracks on iPad and iPhone :D
As for the “enhancement” to the arrange screen, so far I’ve only found that each gadget has a different color, and the background has changed.
AHHHH 33 UPDATES, IM TRIGGERED how does the bubble on the app icon not bug you lol..
Battery use seems much better at first glance. I used it for 30 minutes and it only went down 3%, much better than before (it would have been at least 10%).
The colour scheme is 🤨
Yeah, not so easy on the eye. They need to address that.
The colour scheme wouldn't pass accessibility tests, so their UI designer should be sent back to college - way too dark. Their website is pants too.
Good news about the battery life though, I'll give that a proper testing tonight, and love having iMS20 and iPolysix in there.
Has anyone noticed perceptible change in latency?
Air 2 and Pro gen1 both aren’t as responsible to touches like before update.
Buffer set to 128
No issues here on 7 Plus.
Prices seem lower to me. I've just started with gadget a month ago, totally love it. Community what are the must purchase items?
Off topic: is there any way to save a .WAV hosted on a website directly to an iPad? I've googled a bunch, but use Google drive and the only instructions I see require Dropbox.
Are you trying to download from a link from the website? I’m usually able to save stuff from the internet right to AudioShare
Mono/Poly, if you got good grip on synth programming. If not, probably nothing.
Stock Gadgets are good enough in terms of variety and each offers something unique.
When you’ll be wanting for more, you would probably know, which way to go - sampled instruments, PCMs, or subtractive synths. Probably your own samples.
I guess there's no free way to do it?
Documents By Readle is one of the best apps for downloading stuff off the web and it's free...
Thank you. The whole process feels ridiculous, as if to prove that iOS devices aren't computers, but it works.
I’ve been restoring willy nilly and switching off and on but I still can’t get ims20 or poly 6 to show up on my phone - no remote install options on Gadget as far as I can see. Anyone have any tips?
Do you own the iPad versions, and are they installed on an iPad that is on and running on the same wifi network? Sorry if this is a silly question, but had to ask.
Hiya Wim. Cheers for answering. Yes. Got them both going in my iPad Gadget no problems.
Then that’s odd that they don’t show up for the remote install on your iPhone in Gadget. It worked for me without a hitch. The standalone apps don’t install on the iPhone, only within Gadget.
Yeah. I suppose they’ll show up sometime for some reason then. Cheers.
Bang on cue - another restart and there they are! I think Wim remotely installed them for me...
Does anyone think the other apps will go on sale? I’m wanting to get iwavestation but I’ll kick myself if I get it full price and then it goes on sale tomorrow
You weren’t supposed to tell anyone I could do that.
The biggest humor moment of this update was the announcement of the largest collection of gadgets to date...wtf thats a feature? Laughing out loud if they added one more gadget it would still be the largest collection of gadgets to date hahaha
Yeah, the marketing people really reached to the bottom of the barrel in the brainstorming session for this campaign. Pretty humorous.
I’m happy for the update for sure though. I wouldn’t pay money for it, but I definitely appreciate it.
When presenting the new iPhone, Apple always goes with “the best iPhone yet!”. Like we thought they would release a worse device than last year. And the crowd still applauds. Go figure.
One thing puzzles me most about current range of Gadgets.
While we have four full fledged knob-for-knob versions of their standalone iOS apps, of their plugins, of their own hardware (MS20, Mono/Poly, Polysix, Odyssey), and most of the originals are quite capable as well, but we have next to nothing in terms of drum solution.
Around five, I think, modules are available, but besides Tokyo, which is a little nifty set of eurorack-inspired drum modules, and London, which has compressor and eq per channel disguised as Punch and Low Boost, rest are redundant.
Yes, some are capable of importing user samples, but what's the point, if there is no filter or pitch mod.
And yet they are bringing more obscure synths modelled after game consoles. Maybe there is a huge market for that, I don't know.
One could only dream of Electribe being gadgetized. I would probably even pay a full price to have some additional drum sculpting abilities in Gadget.
Ielectribe as a gadget would be nice. As one of the first Korg “I” apps I’m slightly surprised it hasn’t already been gadgetised.
Anyone managed to get ms-20 (Memphis) installed on 6s+?
6s ... yes
