Korg nanoKey Studio: can it charge rechargeable batteries?
Can I do this in the unit itself? So the only thing I have to do is get some batteries and connect an USB phone charger?
Comments
I don’t think so but maybe it could be possible to add some of these wireless chargers and rechargable battery pack.
Someone has experience with these? Saturday night are my laziest moment of the week...
I use rechargeable batteries and use a battery charger
Hmmm.. maybe it's better to buy a seperate batterycharger + batteries.. I don't like to see my nanoKey explode while charging...
It can’t charge batteries.
You can however power it directly from a USB charger even while connected via Bluetooth, making it possible to power both the iOS device and the keyboard from usb power at the same time without the need for the Apple USB 3 Lightning adapter.
Here’s a great little charger for $20 (in the US). The nice thing about it is you can charge odd numbers of batteries, which is nice since the NKS uses 3. It also has an indicator light for each battery, and shuts off charging power to the batteries individually when they’re done.

Note: you should change the settings in the NKS to tell it you’re using rechargeable batteries. You need their free software for Windows or MacOS tondo this.
Yup powerbank seems the easiest solution.
Yeah I've been thinking about a powerbank too.. But that micro usb conector is just too fragile.. It will break if you move it too much..
Mine has become dislodged before which is a simple fix. you can also stabilize it with just a small pinch of sugru.
