Does seem impressive and versatile.

yes, and it's very affordable as a combo of a dynamic mic + integrated (partial) preamp + shockmount + pop filter.
But I'm a bit sceptical, first of all about the mechanical switch solution.
(I have some mics that perform still great after 40 years of use...)
The pop filter didn't work that great in the close up speech example and it seemed to have quite some (unusual) reaction to the 'big body' when adressing.
Sound examples weren't that convincing either, but this was a spontaneous intro that may not have shown the mics true performance.
(I'm writing this as a (well, almost) collector of vintage dynamic microphones, so I may be spoilt a bit).
But since most customers don't have dedicated mic pre(s) this looks like a valid alternative to the usual 'chinese' condensor types.
