Wow...for the first time...someone in the forum was waiting for something like this.
Not in US. If it does drop I'll grab it.
Yeah, it's not in the us store yet. Hopefully soon. This is the only synth app I've been thinking about purchasing with those Xmas iTunes cards I got. Glad my moms wifi connection sucked and I didn't buy it Xmas morning. I can hold out a little while longer to see when it drops.
Def worth it. I feel that for anyone on this platform this app is almost essential, simply because it covers so much ground and sonic ability compared to buying one wavetable synth, one VA synth, and etc. This app has everything, plus some, all in one package, it's laid out superbly, has excellent extended features like keyboard options, sequencer, and routing options, not to mention the amount of presets it comes with and that are available online...1000's! It's a great all-around synth that covers tons of ground and ability without being underwhelming.
Glad it's getting the thumbs up. I'd been waiting for a sale, just bought it but lying in bed next to sleeping wife and very unable to start testing it!
What no headphones?

@syrupcore - ....EPIC!!!!!!
Rebirth too
Does anyone know where's the best place to get new presets?
How is Thor's stability with regards to midi? I use, and really like, Nave, but it has proven itself to be pretty inconsistent with broken connections and crashes.
Finally. I've been waiting on this one for a little while.
This is definitely a must have! Those who don't have it NEED to get it! I paid full price and don't feel bad at all! :-)
Botchulism!!! I paid full price! I guess I shouldn't feel bad, it's fantastic, but I'm such a darn cheapskate!!! (Contradicts the fact that I've spent over $9 million on apps this year)
.
Definitely on sale here in the US, I woke up to an AppShopper alert a little while ago. $6.99, which is a little more than 50% off (reg. $14.99)
I was sold by the sound of the choirs alone in the video.
I can't believe how many quality presets it has. Excellent for a guitarist who is a total novice in the world of synth. I've only had it 10 mins and it's already on my essential list
Darn it, I knew I shouldn't have looked in here, was trying to avoid xmas app purchases - hahaha. New Years resolution is to bite the bullet & have a purge of the unused to free up some space !
Got it.
Yeah, I can't believe I waited this long.
Thor is one of those rare purchases I purchased full price and didn't care if it was on sale or not. If you don't have Thor, NOW is the time to purchase it. You have no more excuse. Best synth ever as it can give you damn near any kind of sound you want. It also has one of the most sensible synth preset systems. You can actually initialise a patch without having to use up one of a predetermined amount of preset slots (which I find is stupid and limiting). Not only that, but I've wanted Thor for years but never wanted to shell out $399+ on a huge bundle of software just to get the synth, lol.
fine. I need another synth like a dolphin needs to hear Miley Cyrus but I'll buy it anyway.
TBH, Thor has a really acceptable normal price compared to Animoog, iPolysix, Nave and so on.
.
Regarding getting new presets:
If you don't already own the desktop version of Reason, you can download the stripped down demo for free. The demo version will let you load up all the available free refills (available from the Propellerheads site) and then export the Thor patches you like.
It's a somewhat tedious process, particularly the import to the iOS app, but I've managed to get a huge collection of my favorite Thor presets out of Reason and into the iOS version, and it was totally worth it for me.
@Peanut_gallery That's a great tip! Any chance you can make things even easier and post banks of your converted presets? :-)

Perhaps a dolphin can make more sence of that crap than I can.
