How to use apps without "State Saving" ?

Hi everyone ,

I just bought Audiobus3 to link together all the audio IOS apps i have and to have a more direct acces than through beatmaker 3 or Cubasis.
I was suprised/disapointed to realise many apps did not support "State Saving".
DM2 is supposed to support it but it seems it does not. None of the sequencer i have does "save state" : cubasis, KRFT, BM3, modestep.

My question is :
What is the usual workflow with apps that does not save their state with the AudioBus session ?
Do you load the Audiobus session then open the apps and load their presset for this session ? Do you use same names for Audiobus session and apps presets ?
Any suggestion ?

    Yes. And Yes.

    Other than avoiding apps that aren’t AUv3 or don’t have state saving, pester the devs. (IMO, including in App Store reviews, is fair game, but some might differ in that opinion.)

    Some apps support program change messages, so possibly leveraging AudioBus midi learn would help. I haven’t tried this.

    I too was suprised/disapointed/annoyed

    I keep notes in my iPad Notes of those settings that will not be saved. Also if I tweak the preset I save the changes as a new presets.

    I wish Cubasis had a area to leaves notes about songs inside the interface. On PC I use traction as a DAW. It as integrated notes.

    Heh, was just looking for a place to jot notes in Cubasis the other day.

    @Ixox if you're looking for a sequencer / keyboard / controller that DOES fully support state saving in AB3, you could take a look at Xequence (I wasn't even aware others didn't support this).

    @LFS could we have a space in Cubasis to take song notes in next update?
