Drum app for use in AUM with external sequencer - individual drum effects processing
So I finally took the time to repair my rs7000 (yamaha hardware sequencer) and am planning on using it to sequence ios synths and drums in AUM. Everything's going great as far as synths go, but I'm having difficulty finding a good drum app that works in AUM with my workflow and that has the (fairly minimal) features I need.
Basically, I just need a drum app that will let me load in my own samples and apply different effects to different drums (either via insert or send effects... reverb is really the only thing I'm particularly concerned about). Any thoughts?
I'm open to AU and IAA, but don't have much experience using IAA in AUM. Whatever I end up going with needs to save its state within my AUM project so that I can quickly recall my setup for each song I'm working on. I know (think?) IAA with multiple outputs is a thing, but don't really know how that works -- maybe that's an option to separately process individual drum sounds within AUM?
Edit: Just to be clear, I don't need an app to sequence the drums. I'm going to be doing that using the rs7000, and need to be able to keep all my drums on a single midi channel/app.

One little bump. Just one. Promise.
Have you looked at Patterning2, or the drum app inside Nanostudio2?
Thanks. I have used and like both, but they don’t seem to integrate well into AUM workflow (I don’t believe NS2 will work at all in AUM. They’re also both probably overkill for what I’m looking for, but I’ll give patterning a shot.
Check out Vatanator if you want to host in AUM.

Thanks. I’ve been using that off and on. I guess it’s probably my best bet, but it in a perfect world I’d be able to apply different reverb levels to each pad (or easily resample a pad without copying and pasting files all over the place).
Sounds like BM3 would be your best bet. Can be hosted in AUM. I use it like that a lot actually as I like the AUM loop record.
Yeah. In a perfect world there’d be au version of bm3s sampler with its internal effects. There’s no secret workaround that I’m not clued into that would allow me to save bm3s state or session with an AUM project, I don’t guess?
No. You just have to get in the habit of saving the BM3 session with the same name as the AUM session. It’s how I work with the few remaining IAA apps I still use (SeekBeats, DrumPerfect Pro, Elastic Drums, etc,). I have to remember to save presets with the same session name. It’s a bit of a pain because I often forget and lose work but it’s just an IAA workflow thing.
Word. I guess that’s what I’ll have to do. I’m pathetically unorganized when it comes to managing projects, so we’ll see how it goes!
ElasticDrums
Not AU either unfortunately. Dope drum synth and sample drum machine though!
If you would consider adding AudioBus into that equation, DrumPerfect Pro and Elastic Drums both have AudioBus state saving. In fact, then you may not even need AUM (though the two together are great).
[edit] oops. No multi outs from Elastic Drums.
I use Beathawk. You can load your own samples and apply effect levels per pad, but you're stuck with their effects.
I often use AudioLayer for drums and you could have lots of different instances and layers.
Even though you can’t automate the pitches by cc yet you can via different notes, otherwise upcoming app Drambo is going to be good. :)
There is a few new drum apps in the pipeline that I know about. Both AU3 one let's you add your own samples in the other is a pure sequencer similar to the Stage light layout.
