TouchOSC - connection issue

Hey,

Has anyone come across this issue. My internet went down and I lost connection to TouchOSC and on the night was able to connect it through the hotspot on my phone, however now my Internet is back on and I am unable to connect to our lighting system either through our wifi or through my phones hot spot, I feel like I have tried all the usual troubleshooting things to no avail :( Please HALP!

Sometimes with apps like this it is easier to delete the app, re-set your iPad, then re-install the app.

(Edit) Only do this if you can save any complicated custom schemes first.

  • Yeah- that's what I was a little worried about, we have custom settings loaded into it that are relatively complicated and no-one seems to know the apple ID passwords for the apple account the ipad, fml :(

  • Oh dear. Do you know if you need the password when you switch it on? If not, you could try a hard re-set. I've included a link just in case your unfamiliar with this procedure:

  • Nah, don't need the password to switch on, more worried about trying to reinstall the app and it asking me for an apple ID password I wont have, but it might be worth giving it a go as I am running out of any other feasible option atm.

If you don't need a password when you power it up, a hard re-set would be fine, as it won't ask for one when after it's done it's thing. Not sure if it will demand a password if you re-install the app.........

Have you tried turning the house wifi off, and then re-starting it?

Apologies for not being able to be more helpful...........

  • Just did a hard reset of the lighting rig computer that is meant to send a signal to the Ipads and have no lost control of that 😥

  • Bummer............

  • The only thing i can suggest, is to shut everything down, then re-boot each element of the system one by one, checking that each element is working in it's own right. Start with the main wifi source & then add each other element, verifying that it is working, before you progress to the next element...........hopefully, you can then identify which part of the chain isn't working........

  • system some what back online- hahaha- I found a very long manual to read
