fac envolver side chain setup
i can’t remember but isn’t there a way to sidechain fav envolver? im in aum and i’m trying to duck my pad synth sound on channel one, ever time my bass drum hits on channel two.
do i have to use to instances of envolver? if so, how do i set up each one
thanks in advance guys

Envolver sends MIDI out in response to audio in. So it's not a true sidechain, but it can achieve a similar result.
One instance of Envolver will do the job. Put it as an effect on the bass drum channel 2. Then set your synth channel to listen to the MIDI CC that Envolver is sending. Set it to either a LPF or main volume on the synth channel.
...and if your kick isn't seperated from your drum mix, you can still achieve what you want with only one instance on a mix buss. ☺👍Send your drums to that buss but leave the fader all the way down. Then insert a low pass filter before Envolver and dial it in.
agh cool thanks guys
