Thanks for posting!
For anyone considering getting BOTH Keys AND Pads, you might want to hold out for a little bit because there'll be a bundle for $4.99 for both. I wanted to release that at the same time as the individual apps, but Apple's requirement for manual review even for app BUNDLES caught me a bit off-guard :)
Oh to late! Mr White always finds the new apps costing me ! Ha ha. Didn’t realise pads to follow.
Yes I bought them both too 😊
@Jumpercollins @White sorry for that! I really had assumed that essentially just selecting two existing, approved apps and putting a price tag on that would not require another review / delay. You'll both be invited to half a pint of Guiness when you visit Ireland! ;)
@SevenSystems The hold and sustain on glide with the keys is pretty cool. So manual due out soon on Apple get it together ?
That’s ok, It’s better to pay full price to support you
Loving these new Expressive keys from @SevenSystems and KB-1 from @ka010 they act well as a duo complementing each other nicely for midi control. I think it’s time to get a 13” iPad to make the most of that screen estate!
Love Xequence and I'm sure I'll love these as well.. Really dig the way you release your apps.. no hype, no warning, just blam - in the app store, let the app speak for itself. On top of that you give us a heads up about a bundle in case we're thinking of getting both apps (and why wouldn't we?). Well done sir + continued success.
Ah by "manual review" I meant "manual", as in "a person has to do it" :) The manual is already out, as it is 99% the same as the keyboard module inside Xequence, so you can just refer to:

Thanks, appreciate that!
Thanks to you too. Yes I indeed try to keep my business practices rational and logical 🖖
Cheers understood will have a read .
What I LOVE about the Xequence and keys app is the fact that the notes you playED actually light up at the bottom and keep lit up until some time passed by. So friggin cool a feature. Sometimes I play a melody and forget the notes I played, that’s not gonna happen here. Thanks @SevenSystems for adding such a thoughtful creative feature! Keep it up and bring the whole thing. AUv3 is your buddy... do you feel it ;)
Agreed. I originally added that because of my extreme lack of keyboard playing talent. Nice that it suits others as well :D
Congratulations... Keep them coming.. bought
Thanks @ everyone for the great feedback -- be sure to report any issues you might see. There has been a private beta and there have been no issues reported, which makes me slightly nervous, this being the first AUv3 I develop at all. So there must be something hiding in there! 🤣
Hi @SevenSystems,
Pads doesn’t save state in AB3 or AUM sessions. I created and saved a user map for EGLM1, then saved the session, closed the host, and then re-opened. The default drum map was loaded when it should have loaded with my custom map.
Also, will there be some way to share maps between devices? I originally tried doing this via sharing the AB3 session, but neither the pad layout, nor the map were saved in the session so of course that didn’t work.
LOVE these apps! Automatic state save is a critical feature of AUv3, so I hope you can address that one soon.
Cheers, and thanks!
@wim thanks for reporting, this should of course be working and I'll investigate this today. Wonder how this slipped through... will talk to the Beta testers' parents!
When this is fixed, sharing user maps should also be possible by sharing the host project, and then saving the map on the other device .
Haha 😉 yes, I suspect that the separation into two apps might have to do with it. Parents dismissed, no "Blauer Brief" today! 😁
It would be great to disable the keyboard completely and use Xequence Keys as a dedicated CC fader AU bank.
You can just ignore the keyboard, that's what I do when I just want the faders 😉 (if your host allows resizing the plugin window, you can just make it narrow enough so there's only the faders left.)
I’m afraid that I found a bug @SevenSystems !
When I play with the Au keys Sunrizer inside AUM everything is fine until I switch to this 2 row keyboard...
In the moment I try to play on both rows all Audio disappears. No Audio in AUM, no Audio in Safari anymore. I have to restart everything...
I testet it 3 Times , always the same problem... 😎
Interesting! I doubt it's a bug in Xequence AU because all it does is insert MIDI events in the render callback, so there's not much potential for audio breakage... I assume it's a bug in Sunrizer. Can you send me a short video of the problem (what exactly you're doing for the audio to stop working), so I can reproduce it? Via PM... thanks!
@SevenSystems
when I switch Sunrizer off and add Zeeon in AUM the Speaker Out meter shows activity but there is no Audio... 😳
Does this definitely only happen with Xequence AU, not with any other keyboard? (KB-1, AUM internal, ...)?
@SevenSystems
it seems it will happen only while using Xequence AU after switching to the two rows to play them.
No problems with the internal AUM keyboard and with the KB-1 after switching to two keyboard rows.
How can I make a video, is there a simple iOS screencapture function available?
Yes, there's screen recording available from the control center (if enabled in settings), but don't bother -- I'll try this out later and get back to you! Thanks for the report anyway.
Thanks a lot for your help @SevenSystems !
Now everything is clear!
Xequence AU works perfectly, it’s Sunrizer who create the trouble when I try to play a patch in an ultra low octave... 😎
Sorry for confusion! Everything is fine with xequence AU!
Congrats for the release, these are really great Apps! 😊👍
Thanks, much appreciated :) More goodness coming soon!
