Different Drummer major UI update!
Looks much better. Still crazy as all hell, though.
Just in case you gave up on it in the past, and have it uninstalled, there is a big update to the UI.
Now is a good time to take another crack at it.

Yeah, much better in landscape mode.. it's got a lot to give this app, and this'll help. :)
What’s funny is as inspired as I’ve been from the Photon UI feedback I was looking for a next project.
On my list Different Drummer
Seriously though still love the app and the ui and functionality that it has.
Oh - I've been waiting for this update. Can't wait to dig in.
Can’t seem to get midi out working, tried all modes: both and midi only. Tried with AUM and Audiobus...
Working here in AUM - DD midi out to AUM, in AUM midi in from “AUM destination” - completely forgot about this crazy app, having a blast getting reacquainted
It’s working here, but not through the DD virtual midi port.
For AUM, set DD to output to AUM, then in AUM, select “AUM Destination”, not Different Drummer.
For AB3, you need to use MidiFlow Adapter, then select that as the output for DD.
Ah, yeah thanks guys, the virtual midi port is busted, but missed that midi out port page in DD. :)
Yes can get it working that way. Managed with AB3 by sending to AB port and then using the virtual midi bridge option.
Is that with AB3 Beta release? I don’t see a way to enable AB3 midi bridge for input in the standard release, only output. Had to resort to MidiFlow Adapter.
Oh yes sorry it’s on the beta, couldn’t remember what’s on the current release. But at least it’s working with that when the update drops.
Cool. More to look forward to!
What would be really sweet in 2022 is to have a YT video connecting DD up via midi. @daveypoo has a video in which he uses apematrix but the main thrust of the video is for DD. Any takers for a simple step by step guide to connecting DD for midi?
