iConnectMIDI vs Audre.io

Hi there, I need your advice in choosing one of these two solutions to get midi and audio from iPad to PC daw. What are the differences Between them (pros and cons)? I’ve read a lot but maybe I’ve missed something so I thought it would be nice to ask what you guys think of these :) have a good day :)

  • Studiomux :)

    otherwise iconnect is very good.

  • i have had an iconnect midi2+ ever since it was first release. I love it, it is solid as a rock, and opens up a whole new way or working between ipad and desktop. i highly highly recommend.

  • So, I decided to give Studiomux a try and if it would not work - I'll buy iconnect. The problem is that I can't record audio in Tracktion with it. It records MIDI perfectly and also I'm able to hear the audio from iPad on my desktop DAW, but the audio is not being recorded. Maybe someone has a solution for this or have both apps and can figure this out and help me? :) Thanks in advance.

  • Any of you iconnect users have the new iPad Pro 11?

  • @asia i had the same issue with cubase. I purchased Bitwig studio and it works very well.

also you MUST have itunes installed. It adds certain software components in the background that Studiomux requires.

+1 for Bitwig. Always had problems with iconnectmidi2+ on Ableton, Maschine and Bitwig but Studiomux on Bitwig (as well as everything on Bitwig) works flawlessly! I loooove Bitwig!! Only DAW I have ever owned that just works and is the best with IOS and Maschine!! At least in my experience!

  • Thanks for advice guys, I’ve just setup studiomux with Tracktion and both midi and audio work flawlessly :)

  • One more question about studiomux setup.
I have connected midi keyboard to my pc and some apps from iPad can be controlled by it (for example SynthMaster) and others can't (like ThumbJam or Music Studio). Can somebody help me set it up?
