Spectrum Analyzer app for EQ

edited January 2014 in General App Discussion

Using Cubasis. Does anyone know of a good app of this type? Preferably something that is IAA.

AUFX: PeakQ will have a spectrum analyzer in the next version, it's IAA compat. Don't know anything more then that. Perhaps the dev, Kymatica, might wanna share some preview screenshots ;)

ElephantCandy Level.24 has a spectrum analyzer. It's only AB compat though at the moment. And I haven't used it myself so don't know how good it is, but specs list looks fine

  • Is spectral eye IAA compatible?

  • Not sure if you have Auria, but the Pro-Q IAP for that by Fabfilter is amazing.

  • I did pick up AUFX:PeakQ with that in mind.

Level.24 looks to be pretty good. I shot the dev an email to ask if he has plans to add IAA. It does look hella featured.

I just downloaded Spectral Eye to check out. It is not IAA but looks quite interesting.

I am this close to buying Auria. Good to know. Cubasis is way buggy for me right now. I'll give them the next update to get things sorted out and if they can't...

    Thanks.

  • As another extremely satisfied Auria user, I say go for it. Their forum is also very active and responsive. Cubasis is still great for sequencing although I'm finding myself using BM2 more recently.

  • Other than lacking full midi and instruments, Auria is the closest you'll get to a desktop DAW.

  • I'm using an iPad 2. I think, considering all the pains I go through to get Cubasis working properly I could manage with Auria. As it stands, I have to create multiple projects in Cubasis to get the the audio stable enough to work with. While I like it very much the glitches and going out of time issues make it useless and cumbersome.

  • @synthandson - funny you mentioned that, I was just wondering how updates work with Auria's plug-in model.

  • Ahh.....thanks for passing that on.

  • I just heard back from Victor over at elephantcandy regarding Level.24 IAA support. He says they are working on it now and an update is imminent.
