Need some advice on Riffer and Beatmaker 3

Hey,

New to AudiBus, but wow! am I impressed. What a great tool for iOS.

I have Riffer, Poison 202 and BM3, I can connect these great and record the Midi notes into BM3 which is awesome.

I have one Q though. Even though Quantize settings seem to be set the same in both Riffer and BM3, the sounds I'm hearing when I play Riffer inside of the AudioBus app, are slightly different to what is output onto a Track in BM3?

Don't get me wrong, the sound that is recorded into BM3 sounds better, but there is that disjoint when I'm previewing the notes.

Any help would be amazing

thanks

Marc

  • Ok. I had the Recording Quantize settings switched on in BM3, that’s why it of course sounded robotic in Riffer and pleasant in BM3. It’s a Riffer thing i guess?

Do you have swing set to anything but zero in BM3? Try adjusting the shuffle slider on the left side of Riffer. A little goes a long way so move it slowly and see if you get the results you are looking for.
