Roland, will it iOS ?

Would be cool to see Roland join iOS, to my knowledge they haven't created any iOS synths?

Search for SOUND Canvas by Roland Corporation

  • That’s not a synth.
    It’s a rompler.

(You have to read it as old Ben Kenobi)

Apparently, they have a tiny/weak iOS team to realize the potential of iOS market. They could port their Integra 7 to iOS.

+1 for an Integra port. (We can dream...). To be honest, I’d settle for an update to Sound Canvas that made it more accessible and usable.

  • My guess is eventually they will bring Roland Cloud to iOS. While it wouldn't my preference, wouldn't surprise me.

  • Given how much they charge for the cloud services, I bet if they went iOS it would be at prices most would balk at.

They've got the Control surface on iOS already, all that's missing is the sound engine

  • They bought the TB 303 on Cloud now (released 303 day).. Been playing with it... My goodness... It’s awesome, that together with Juno 106, With everything else.. I hope they do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did, it would be subscription model, like have done with the Cloud based system?...

I'd be fucking ecstatic if they'd just make the audio interface portion of their products class compliant so we could use them with iOS. They seem to be basing all their audio interface stuff on drivers from like 2006 or something...

  • The file of the vst are small considering...

SoundCanvas app has a horrible UI and no AU.

I'm a Roland, Steinberg (a Yamaha company) and KVRAudio type guy and wish Roland realizes what gold mine they are sitting on for years without realizing its value. Heck, they could even port their JD-Xi synth to iOS with unlimited tracks!

I was rather talking about this one:
    https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/integra-7-editor/id551547016?l=en&mt=8

Now that I'm writing this I do wonder if I could use this to control the Roland VS series plugins for desktop...
