“New Luv 2” - 80’s Pop Rock Song 100% iPhone
On my latest track I went for an 80’s “Cars” type vibe. Any listens and/or feedback would be greatly appreciated! (I know my vocals aren’t the greatest)
Thanks!!

Thank you very much for listening, and for the kind words!
Wow, this is a really great hidden gem from 1980. Right up my alley, and it's really well done. I have to say the whole time I was dying for the 'new love too' bgv tag to go up an octave into falsetto on the word/note 'too' so it rises the whole time.
I see this being made into a very Mighty Mighty Bosstones - like cover. Well done
Thanks for listening, and also for the input. I have to admit I’m not familiar with the term “bgv tag”, (and google is surprisingly no help) but I’m pretty sure I understand what you mean.
Thanks a lot. I do think a more aggressive approach would sound cool.
Bgv= background vocal. This is very well done! The lyrics fit the style very well too. I’m on a bit of a new wave trip too, so I enjoyed this a lot! 😀
Really enjoyed that. It could indeed be a "forgotten" Cars track. Very well done.
Which apps did you use?
Thanks! I guess “bgv”= background vocal was too obvious for my over-analytical brain.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and reply. Glad you enjoyed it! The entire song was produced using GarageBand, then mastered using Grand Finale, also on iPhone.
