Em·bar·rass·ing·ly simple question about recording Zeeon IAA... ANSWERED

Have a lovely little thing going in the Zeeon sequencer (annoyed I can't seem to save these) and would like to record it, but can't 'see' Zeeon as an IAA in AB/AUM/AURIA/AS only an AU which doesn't have the sequencer....

Obviously doing something stupid (or NOT doing something half intelligent).

Can anyone nudge me back on the right track please?

Comments

  • I don't think Zeeon is IAA/AB compatible for the Standalone version...and it also looks like the sequencer does not do MIDI out.
My suggestion would be to save your preset for the synth, Load it as AU in Auria, and then visually copy your sequence from the Zeeon step sequencer.

Lots of back and forth on this when Zeeon first came out. I was actually a bit miffed that this was not able to be seen by hosts in its standalone form. Apparently the sequencer is just there for auditioning sounds and serves no purpose beyond that. A bit frustrating for me at first...

A typical case of missing audio loopback in iOS.
The same problem as you run into when trying to record from any other source that only goes to speaker/headphones/bluetooth.
I have a little A/D/A loopback USB interface (just connect line-out to line-in) for these cases...

  • @AndyPlankton @ALB @rs2000

    Thanks gents.

Wow. Damn. I was really hoping it was just innate rubbishness on my part.

How frustrating to have a cool tool, but mostly in the look don't touch area....ah well.

    Thanks again.

My same gripe when it came out. You are not alone.

I am sure Drambo will fix this fake sequencer business.
