Then it won't work with iPad in USB hub.
However, you could use a Bluetooth dongle as suggested in the linked post, or a MIDI extender.
I like Focusrite 4i4 and above because they have the MIDI DIN connectors.
Electribe 2 is class compliant. His audio interface (Presonus Studio 24c) has midi din in/out.
