@espiegel123 Hi, I know Blocs Wave makes packs for Launchpad. Anytime you add loops in Blocs there is an option to export them to Launchpad as a pack.
My question is whether there is a way to have them grouped as a pack in Blocs Wave for the purpose of restricting the Discover choices.
Gotcha! I don’t see any option to group beyond the tags provided.
I was hoping there might be some trick I’d overlooked. (Like the ability to hide packs from Discover that I only just recently found out about.
That’s a great idea, Blocs Wave is very useful for ideas!
I'd welcome this feature too. While we're at it, being able to change the labels of the categories in discover would be handy as well. Melodic is a huge category for me I'd love to break up into multiple categories, and FX isn't super meaningful.
Some organisational features in the library would indeed be good.
One other feature I would like is to be able to non-destructively transpose a cell independently of the other cells.
But I hope they don’t add too much. BlocsWave’s strength is its simplicity for me and there are plenty of other apps when you need more features :-)
I have encountered a weird situation with an 4-bar piece of audio i recorded in BlocsWave. On screen the waveform looks like I expect. But when it plays, it plays starting from the measure 2 and loops around. When I export it, it exports a file that starts at what should be measure three and loops around so that what should be the first measure are at the end.
The have not altered the start position marker or anything. Has anyone had this happen and know of a solution other than exporting the loop fixing it and reimporting it?
Here it is in BlocsWave
Here it is in AudioShare:
@espiegel123 Making random guesses here but does it have anything to do with the way the start time of the recording? When you hit play, where does the other tracks start? The audio you have shown there may be synced based on the time you hit record, relative to the other track.
In other words, try and press and hold that square, then flatten it. It should render it to the correct timeline based on the track you recorded it.
I did the flattening thing but am still mystified that the waveform display normally and with no visual indication that the audio will play from anywhere other than the start of the waveform. Fwiw, it was recorded in the same project it was used in and recording was done in sync.
I think it’s to do with the little moveable arrow. You have to make sure it is set right at the start of the sample as it will be rendered from the point it is sitting at. Try experimenting by moving it around and see if that helps.
As I have said before:
Midi toggle on and off/ mute
Midi Volume per bloc.
Better file management:
1. Make files
2. List intended bpm in purchases.
3. Drag and drop system/ multiple loops when arranging files.
4. Sort samples by newest or by pack.
When exporting loops to Launchpad, it starts a new page... Can we fix that so they fill available slots??? I could export to empty slots...
Looks like recording parameters is possible in Groovebox... Why not Blocs Wave? Puh-lease? Recording panning? Yesssss.
And my most petty one: go back to the original icon! It was really nice!
Hear me Amplify! Hear me!
I understand about the movable. My post perhaps was poorly worded diamond you can use to change the start point. The issue is that the play start indicator was set at the beginning of the recording but the loop played back and exported as if the start arrow/diamond was set elsewhere. At least it is easy to fix.
It sounds like others haven't run into it. So perhaps it was a one-off glitch.
is there a way to change 16 bits to 24 bits in both bloc waves and launchpad ?
Must say that ‘Hip Hop Brass’ is a Blocs Wave Classic.. seems the app was built for it..
Hope they do more individual instruments like this.. really great..
The slicer..
You mean the Hip Hop Horns or am I missing one? I don’t really buy the IAPs often (already have the Launchpad/Blocs unlock), but there are definitely some good ones. More than anything I want them to update the app to allow sampling into it via AUV3 and not just IAA.
Sorry, yes, Hip Hop Horns... Wishing for more.
I'm basically just doing their samples... Need to learn more... But Auv3 will send this thru the roof..
Incredible pack ...
"Will" or "would"? Are they doing an AUv3 version?
No..
Not that I know of. I’ve asked before and got a vague answer but they haven’t ruled it out and it could happen in the future.
Then again, there is LoopMix (Auv3).. thanks to Doug... STR.
Loopmix is great! Haven’t had a chance to watch the new vid yet but will soon for sure.
