If you’ve purchased the full package for Syntronik
First, is it worth $100, because that’s a lot of money for an iOS upgrade app, and it’s on par with what you would spend on a high end PC program? I only have the free version, but am very impressed with the potential of this app, so I ask, is it really worth $100 to upgrade to the full version?
Comments
I would wait for a sale to buy Syntronik to save money.
I have the full package and I think it was a good buy. The Syntronik synths are very impressive! I like them.
If you like the Syntronik stuff you may also like the SynthMaster Player. I have many of the iap installed and I love the sound. Also here you can wait for a sale.
Thank you very much for the reply, that’s great advice, and I’ll definitely wait for a sale.
Really personal preference.
Many options out there.
However, I think Sampletank and Synthronik together are really a solid foundation for most sounds you can use for music making of the standard per genre.
Thank you very much for the reply, when it goes on sale, I’m all in. Gonna check out Sampletank as well, that’s a new one to me.
I am a SampleTank hater. The Miroslav philharmonic is at the bottom of the list. The UI is ugly and offputting.
Just my opinion. No offense @RUST( i )K ... you probably know better than I do.
I would say wait for a sale as well, but I would definitely recommend getting Synthtronik -- you get a lot of great sounds to play with!
SampleTank is also good, I would say SampleTank with the Sonik Synth expansion pack gives a great variety of stuff to work with. On the other hand, no AUv3, unlike Synthronik...and I don't imagine we'll see AUv3 added to SampleTank anytime soon, if at all.
Yeah IK has been talking about Sampletank auv3 since well before I joined the forum, highly doubtful it happens.

I would also extend it to IK altogether...
Well I'm fine with Syntronik because it has a lot of awesome sounds which make me forgive the awkward UI.
It sounds great to my ears. Love it.
And it’s all about the multis and FX as well. Might be my favourite sounds on iOS when I’m in the mood.
I’d like to see more patches, honestly...
Syntronik is a total beast! Amazing sounds!
My all time favorite preset sound right now is the Elegant Mood J-8 for thick luscious Pads and the 1984 Polysynth 2 preset for leads wow So tasty I truly recommend it.
By the way does anyone know how to backup user presets?
I only have the base version not full or deluxe.
When it went on sale (x-mas I think?), I considered upgrading to get all the sounds, but I kept noticing occasional random "sound artifacts" (subtle snaps/pops), when I was messing around with the standalone app.
When I explored further I found that I never got any sound artifacts when I played any unaltered sound preset. It was only when I started to tweak the sound using the various in-app controls that I got occasional unwanted sounds. I never did buy the upgrade primarily because of that reason. My second reason was because I was able to buy a whole bunch of other various iOS synths on sale with the same money.
EDITED TO ADD:
I just checked my App store purchases and discovered I got Synthronik in December 2017. I noticed there have been a few updates since that time, so I just re-downloaded it to my iPad and messed around with it for about an hour. I did not hear any sound artifacts, snaps or pops this time.
I'll consider buying the upgrade on sale, as it is a fun app to mess around with.
It is also on sale now in our Synth Savings promotion
OMG!!!! Jump on it!
I’m so glad I did when it first came out. I sold a few used stuff and got me my iTunes card to get this beast!
In AUM I set it at 512 resolution and I can safely run 2 instances in AUM with Funk Drummer and it iBassist. Amazing combination.
Curious... if you download the 9.99 version you can purchase all the presets for 39.99. If you download the free version you can also download the full presets for 39.99. Why buy the 9.99 version? Is there something extra in that version. I see the mgb is 450 for the paid, but that is probably the fifty patches you get. Free version is 100 mgb. ???
Edit: I downloaded cs version and see there are two packs, one complete for 49.99, a lesser for 39.99.
However, I am getting a lot of crackling in Cubasis. Anyone have a similar problem?
If you got the desktop version you can get a free synth by registering for the newsletter.
