  • Thanks.
I'll try it when back at home.

  • A big footprint, but some interesting info in this.

  • Downloaded but not had a look yet. Not filled with adds or IAP's?

  • None that I've seen so far. It's a series of videos that start from basics and branch out to cover many elements of music production.

  • Pretty good actually. Up to full price now though.

  • Anyone get through all of this yet? There is some good info, but the presentation puts me to sleep. Only got as far as lesson 5 so far and I haven't really picked much that is of permanent use.

  • Up to lesson 14.. I feel this would be very useful to a beginner. However, if you've been recording for a while, you may pick up one or two things, but the lessons present very rigid ideas that lack important nuance. Eg, on the EQ lesson, subtractive EQ wasn't really covered. So, I often found myself disagreeing with some of his points.

Tldr; good for the beginner. Experienced engineers save your money

I have no idea what subtractive EQ is so I think I had better persevere and then investigate further. Thanks for the links

  • I'm on lesson 11. I've picked up a few things, but I'd agree this is mainly targeted at a beginner.

  • Well, persevered and got through it twice. Gets more interesting as you get in. I personally learnt a lot about EQing, mixing and mastering and have realized (as I suspected) that I was doing it somewhat poorly.
The course is based mainly around guitar/vocal type sounds but still lots there for electronic music. Glad I picked it up.
