Well now I'm super self-conscious that I know you're a video professional - I honestly think my video editing skills are crap, but I'm learning as I go and hopefully the polish will come with time spent...
I am watching your videos when I catch your posts or see notifications on Youtube. You are doing very well. Into ios music production and main instrument is bass guitar just like you
You can ask anything you need about video production, anytime
I’m making workshops for mobile videography in my country and would love to help you aswell!
We could start a therapy group and call it “Family matters”
I’m going to send a mail to Jaleel White, maybe he wants to help us...
Very good .... really inspirational with lots of excellent tips.
Thanks for the views, guys - I'm so glad you all got something out of it!
Thanks for that @Daveypoo. Great incite. Couple questions: Is that a Korg nanocontrol over your right shoulder and can you midi map controls from AUM/AB to it?
Also that Bop pad, do you send sounds to trigger from your iPad to it?
Would love to see how you connect both to your audio interface.
Yep! Got a couple videos on that:
AUM:
apeMatrix:
No - it's just a MIDI controller. No onboard sounds - triggering everything from the iPad.
See the links above!
Awesome! Is that Midiflow Adapter or Midiflow Channels that you’re using in the Apematrix video?
Just Midiflow - here's the link:

Thanks for all the input. I’m in buy mode right now. Birthday in a couple of weeks too. So look out.
No problem - keep me posted if you have more questions.
Really enjoyed this video @Daveypoo ! So important for also getting iOS music made with synths and samplers to sound more interesting and less robotic I also learned a bit on the guitar section about the Stones, believe it or not!
Wow - thanks so much for the kind words, Colin. I'm flattered that you got some guitar tricks out of it - you have a FAR better command of the guitar than I ever hope to have.
But I agree - humanizing things even just the tiniest bit makes your tracks much more unique and less like everyone elses.
Yep, one more thing please. In your video you mentioned setting up the nanokontrol initially through Korg editor. Does that have to be done on the laptop or can you access it on the iPad?
Unfortunately no - the editor can only be run from a desktop. But you don't HAVE to use the editor - the nanoKontrol2 comes pre-configured and will work with the iPad straight out of the box. You only need the editor if you want to customize the setup - change what MIDI messages are sent, set the keys from momentary to latched, etc.
