iPad Pro 2019 - USB-Hub Midi-Connection - how?

Hi to all!

I am using an iPad 5. Gen with the Camera-Connection-Kit, a powered USB-3-Hub, 2 Midi-Keyboards and an Audio Interface at the moment and this setup is working great, but the CPU usage of my iPad is very high most the time.

Now I am planing to buy an iPad Pro 2019 with the new USB-C-Port.

Question:

Is the any Connection-Kit for the iPad Pro, that allows me to connect my USB-3-Hub and charge the iPad Pro at the same time, like the Lightning-Connection-kit (the big one) do?

Yes, any USB-C hub with a PD (power delivery) port — and an USB 3 port for your old hub — should work just fine.

I bought this one for my daughters iPad Pro 11 - it seems to be working fine. Some people have reported out of phase sound issues if you plug in a headphone / headset with mic - but we've not used it like that so no worries for us.

But I dont know if this one will work with the Music-gear & Hub. Is someone using this adapter? If yes, is it possible to charge the ipad und use the keyboards/audio interface at the same time?

Works great.
I dont know if you can plug another hub into its USB port. You’ll need to ask Satechi.
I’ve also heard this is good if you need more ports.

To connect your old gear you’ll either need an USB-C hub with lots of USB-3 (I.e. USB type A) ports, or you can just connect your old hub, with all the old gear attached to it like before, to the new one.

I should add I haven’t tested it myself, and certainly not with your unique configuration, but afaik it should work.

ok thx. I understand now. But I really need to charge the iPad at the same time. For this the camera connection kit for the old iPad was really perfect. maybe this works with the satechi hub...

That looks limited and expensive.

You can use literally any USB-C hub that has USB-C PD, or "power-delivery." Just plug your existing USB-C charging cable into the PD port on the hub. It powers your iPad.

As of this entry, novation has discontinued production of the audiohub, but I do agree that is a handy interface.
