Stereo to Mono?

edited January 2014 in General App Discussion

Of course, AB outputs to stereo regardless of the source. Should I be converting tracks to mono before mixing?

Vocals, guitars and instruments make sense. How about a panned drumset? Convert to mono and re-pan? As I understand it takes more CPU and drive space to process stereo than it does mono.

  • yes it is best to record each drum instrument separately, in mono, and do the mix.
