So useful, thanks! especially with the session so you can see it working
Thanks for the setup video too. I'm going to have to take some notes so I can deconstruct how it works.
Looks interesting. Any steps on how to get this loaded in MOZAIC in AUM?
It keeps crashing Mozaic standalone on load for me. Downloaded both files AUM project and Mozaic patch.
Thanks.
Oh thats weird. I m using the official store mozaic 1.0.6 on an iPad Pro 10.5 with IOS 12.3.1 so i didn't expect any problems like that. I'll retry with my second ipad (iPad Air 2 on 12.3.1)
@brambos The script should not be able to crash the app It can't be the script length as i already have a much longer script running (1850 lines vs the 930 lines of Midi Matrix Switch)
Rather than Crash I should say “hung”. Kept asking me to reload the standalone app.
How should I be trying to load the script into AUv3 version? As when I load the AUM project the Mozaic app is red.
I just loaded the AUM session without using the standalone and didn't have an issue so far.
The patchstorage download opens up the standalone version - but instead of installing the script directly in the editor it is just stored in the user preferences. The preset name 'Midi-Matrix-Switch-v10' differs from the name 'Midi Matrix Switch v10' that i uploaded, but as long as it works...
The above message is 'normal' if only shown for a split second, i only see it on the Air 2.
Loading the AUM session worked and played correctly after changeing back my local damn short buffer settings to 512.
.
What device and IOS version are you using ?
Thanks @_ki for this! Will dive in later to examine that Matrix.
Guess i have to watch that video more often to get that one going
That's the message you also get when the AUv3 crashes or refuses to load.
First off, are you using the latest update of Mozaic (1.0.6 from a week ago)?
Can you load Mozaic at all in AUM? At what point does it "turn red"?
I’m using iOS 11.4.1
The message is not displayed just briefly, it stays that way.
Yes I’m using latest update. Although I can’t find a way to confirm version number in either the app or settings?
Yes I can load Mozaicin AUM usually.
Made a quick vid...
So is this an iOS 11 issue with Mozaic?
Possibly, because I haven’t been able to reproduce this on any device, but I don’t have any running on iOS11 anymore.
New update fixed my issue loading Ki’s Script into AUM.
Cheers!
That’s what I suspected. Likely it will still crash when you open the script code window. It’s the iOS text editor exceeding the AUv3 memory limit with ‘long’ texts (text should barely cause a blib on the memory radar, but the editor still claims insane amounts of memory).
Yep. Confirm that trying to see the code will crash the AUv3.
Also, this action of trying to view the code in the Standalone version, requests me to restart my device.
